Farhan Ahmed won the BdOI 2023 gold medal
The national level competition of Bangladesh Olympiad in Informatics (BdOI) 2023 was held at Daffodil International University for two days.
Among the top 7 winners, 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 5 Bronze medals were awarded in the closing and prize distribution ceremony on Saturday. Farhan Ahmed won the gold medal while Abrar Al Samit won the silver and bronze medalists are Zarif Rahman, SMA Nahian, Md. Nafis ul Haque Sifat, Desh Acharya and Shahriar Khan.
The prize giving ceremony was held at the Nazrul Eduplex of Daffodil International University. Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest while Professor Dr. Zafar Iqbal, President, Bangladesh Informatics Olympiad Committee presided over the event.
Md. Shah Alam Patwari, Deputy Director General of Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. was present as a special guest on the occasion. Bangladesh Informatics Olympiad Committee member Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, Professor Dr. Mohammad Sohel Rahman, chairman of the committee of the organizing committee Prof. Dr. Sheikh Rashed Haider Noori spoke at the event while the Assistant Professor Mamun analyzed the problem.
In the competition, 61 contestants participated in the two-day final competition from all over the country being selected through the preliminary round.
